Like any system or buearacracy there ar ways to do things that make your life easy and ways that make your life miserable. Obviously when it comes time to grab your gift card you want to do it with the least work and the fewest surprises.

That's where a little exploration comes in.

When you view a gift card offer how do you know it's a good deal? You know because you've

• reviewed several offers, and
• looked at the offer ratings (up to 5 stars) I provide

What constitutes a good deal is constantly changing. At the time an offer is introduced $1000 gift card for 2 Silver, 2 Gold, and 2 Platinum may be standard (if it is average it will get a 3 star rating). Six months after that $1000 gift card offer is introduced a new $1000 offer may only require 2 Silver, 2 Gold, and 1 Platinum or maybe it's 3 Silver, 2 Gold, and 1 Platinum. So over time gift card competition has forced the average number of requirements to change in order for a $1000 gift card to attractive.

Don't be fooled

Don't be fooled. Let's assume that the standard today is 2 Silver, 2 Gold, and 4 Platinum for $1000 offer. Don't assume that a $250 Gift Card will have lesser requirements. It should and it may but check it out.

Some sponsors are hoping you won't do your homework. Some of these offers are old. Either way you don't want to sign up for 6 sponsor offers and get $250 instead of $1000.
